My students worked on completing a "once upon a time" story on their own. On Friday, we used Today'sMeet (http://todaysmeet.com/communitystory) to brainstorm ideas for these stories. The students had to include at least one member of our community or at least one place in our community in their story. I allowed them to be as creative as they wanted though. We will also write a story as a class.
As you can probably tell from the stories, many of my students like writing mysteries. Enjoy!
